A prequel to the original Dune, it tells the story of how the Sisterhood of Rossak evolved into the Bene Gesserit. The incident with Valya Harkonnen using the voice is from one called «Mentats of Dune». All three books intertwine the development of the Sisterhood, the Mentats, the Navigators, and the Suk Doctors.
Without depth, the conversations are sometimes quite banal
I knew it couldn’t be of the same quality as the movies, but I didn’t expect it to be so… mediocre. I thought for a second that it was an Amazon production, not HBO.
No real special effects, it feels a bit low budget
For some roles they are not the right casting choices; not because the actors are bad, but not right for the role. There is too much happening in the first episode and they move from one scene to another as if they are rushed. Also for some scenes, I wonder why they bothered to do them.
I really hope it will be better
I am not sure what camera they used, but the shots seem too simple.
