Plot
Men and women live in a giant silo underground, where they are enacted with a series of laws that they believe protect them from the toxic and ruined world above. Whether they are exploring the stars, escaping dystopia, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about. The fans on the floor in various episodes spin in the wrong direction, in terms of blade orientation.

Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 You Need to Watch (2023) The Wool trilogy books are some of the best books I have ever read. I was very hesitant to watch Silo because I had such a vivid internal vision of this post-apocalyptic world from the books and I didn’t want to ruin it. That said, I’m halfway through the first season and it’s not at all like the books in the best sense of the word!
I have to say, they did a PHENOMENAL job with the cast and writing
I mean, the framework is there, the events and the basics of what made the books great. However, most of the detailed plot is completely new and embellished and fills in the gaps of things that were hinted at or left out in the books. I’m glad that I still have a distinct version of the books in my head and the show is like a new, fun version.
So much was exactly as I imagined it
But the differences set the book apart and I love that. This is probably the first time I’ve been glad that a show isn’t like the books but still really likes it. Awesome job!
